Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

Stained glass is a medium I got into a decades or so back. A local community college offered it and it looked like fun. I took the class     and made the window project top row far left. I still have it, as well as all of my tools.

I saw the  challenge coin a yr or so back and thought it would look amazing in stained glass.  So began my homework study, and started scouting glass and materials.  Got reacquainted with a former student and her husband about that same time, and discovered she worked for one of the premier stained glass companies in the Napa/Calistoga valley.

They have helped me so much  with mentoring,  picking brains and supplies.

Lisa  has given me the courage to try stuff I have never even thought of.   I have created the stained glass for the First responders sign,  a feather,  and the "Fusion" glass piece  for my most current wedding sign. look for more feathers in the near future, I have a piece of blue /grey glass that is stunning in that it looks like storm clouds.

Fusion glass is a clear pane of glass that you paint on with ground glass.  I learned to use a large condiment shaker to fill with what ever color I need and then to shake it onto the glass  the sun and moon were cut from stained glass and  shaped on a grinder , in my kitchen!  the sky is under neath the glass the clouds sun and moon are on top will add a finishe picture  since I flipped the crescent moon tthe other direction  after it came from the kiln.

The shield is a pewter cast of a badge shield rim that I carved at the Carousel  and then molded in silicone  and then casted in my kitchen!  The gray glass inside the rim will have the pattern you see inside the challenge coin. you can see the elements ofthepirce as they are being created. And I v'e added a 7 point star for one for a Sheriffs Deputy  I currently plan  to make 4 3 shields and one star, and they already spoken for. I haven't figured out the time and expenses on making these yet,  but I'm told good stained glass runs around $250 to $300 per square foot

I am currently working on 3 fusion glass pieces, one for an 8 yr old girl, the daughter of a good friend,  another more serious milky way sign, and the rainbow sign. I need to go find me some really nice wood slabs to house them.
