These are pieces of art. I have created over the years.  The shields  were created for my son as he grew thru different stage

the two crows have gone to my sister,  the  black one is cartoonish. the other has a big burn scar in the wood. that intrigued me.  It represents a sister. who passed from cancer.

The carousel half size is a pegacorn. that is a rocker.  It is made to resemble a full size Pegacorn that is on the carousel now "Magic".   The carousel  half size represents about 356 hrs of hand work,  no power tools were used to create it.

I do hope you enjoy these, i loved making them. and. my heart is in them

ART,   I have created most of my art projects just from conversations, with family  and friends.  Most artist will tell you they are at their creative best, when they are in love, or have been crushed by love.  I find that to be true  in my case

The carousel half scale  rocking horse came from just such a set of circumstances, don"t ask because I won't give you any of the details.   But the horse was started at one of the lowest moments in my life.  It is at the Salem Oregons Carousel.  I started it on Nov 15, 2018 , it gave me desperately needed focus and  a place to push my  thoughts at a very  dark time.

It was a completely new learning curve for me as I had never tried to carve anything using hand chisels only.  As I began to work thru all of the decisions of literally every chisel cut. I really felt Gods  hands guiding mine,  What ever talents I possess  They are God given gifts, and I know they are His gifts for  me to use to bless others and His name.

I have right at 356 hand hours in the Half scale pegacorn  which is a duplicate of an actual pegacorn named "Magic"  that is on the carousel today.  As soon as we can get back into the carousel, and I can finish mounting him on his rockers, He will be ready for auction with the proceeds going back to the non-profit  carousel.

I have enough pictures of this creation that I will produce a book tentatively titled "My Horse for the Wilderness"  which comes from  II Kings 3:8  " He said, which way shall we go up? "The way through the wilderness"

This horse  was my way thru the wilderness. I hope it will be an inspiring book

The  little horse is carved from oak, and sets in a sign I am creating. It is about 4" by 5"  will have a rider on it by next week.
